The Chinese Church in Christ was founded as a Bible study class at San Jose State University in 1968 and officially established in 1971. With God's grace, the church has experienced continuous growth and an increasing number of members.
Subsequently, the Mountain View church was planted in 1982, the North Valley Church in 1987, the South Valley Church in 1992, the Cupertino Church in 2004, the Tri-Valley Church in 2009, the Sunnyvale Church in 2018, and the Central San Jose Church in 2019. Although the eight churches operate independently in terms of organization, administration, and finance, they are united in their belief in the Lord Jesus Christ and maintain a special communion with each other, supporting one another in our ministry works.
The North Valley Church initially used the Corner Stone Bible Church building for Friday fellowship and held Sunday services in a nursery. In 1989, under the guidance of God, we rented the current building and officially purchased it in 1992.
Currently, the church has approximately 400 adults. We provide Sunday worship services in three languages: Mandarin, Cantonese, and English.
